BelowtheWaist.org is an online community for individuals and organizations interested in protecting and promoting reproductive health care. We offer multiple opportunities for social networking, commenting, sharing ideas and learning about others interested in these issues. We sincerely hope that BelowtheWaist.org provides you with the opportunity to meet advocates, activists, leaders, practitioners, educators, and others throughout the nation who care about the future of reproductive freedom and health for all men and women.To add to the conversation, BelowtheWaist.org podcast will air bi-weekly. It features reproductive health news and opinion, as well as interviews and discussions with individuals around the nation on timely topics. BelowtheWaist.org is a project of Family Planning Health Services in Wausau, WI. Family Planning Health Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit, community based, confidential reproductive health care provider in Central Wisconsin.
Our Editorial Policy
BelowtheWaist will post articles on reproductive health topics after review. To submit an article to BelowtheWaist, email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Articles that do not contain material not developed by the person who submitted it may be posted if they contain appropriate citation of the original author and source of the material.
BelowtheWaist will only edit commentary on articles for profanity, pornography, and/or solicitation of goods or services. Comments that violate the law or safety of another individual or group will be removed.
With regard to intellectual property:
BelowtheWaist respects the intellectual property of others. It is our policy to respond promptly and actively to claims of copyright and other intellectual property infringement. BelowtheWaist will expeditiously process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and will take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and other applicable intellectual property laws. Upon receiving notices complying or substantially complying with the DMCA, BelowtheWaist may act to remove or disable access to any material claimed to be infringing or claimed to be the subject of infringing activity and may act to remove or disable access to any reference or link to material or activity that is claimed to be infringing. BelowtheWaist will terminate access for contributors and account holders who are repeat infringers.
Notifying BelowtheWaist of Copyright Infringement:
To provide BelowtheWaist notice of an infringement, you must provide a written communication to the attention of “DMCA Infringement Notification Dept.” care of email@example.com that sets forth the information specified by the DMCA. Providing BelwotheWaist with Counter-Notification:
If we remove or disable access to content in reposne to an infringement notice, we will make reasonable attempts to contact the owner or administrator of the affected site or content. If you feel that your material does not constitute infringement, you may provide BelowtheWaist with a counter notification by written communication to the attention of “DMCA Counter Notification Dept.” at firstname.lastname@example.org that sets forth all of the necessary information required by the DMCA.
