Teen Pregnancy Prevention

On May 9th it was my pleasure to interview 3 women who were or are teen Mom’s. These women
are courageous and caring and we thank them for agreeing to be on our panel and discuss their
experiences. They hope that their reflections on being a teen Mom will be helpful to teens listening
and allow them to pause and consider what it might be like if they were to become teenage parents.
Reflections on the experience…I felt really honored that these three women chose to be on our
program and share their experiences. It is an honor and a privilege to know them. I appreciate
their humor, their humanity and their frankness in telling us what their teenage pregnancy experience
was like. They represent all of us – women who work hard, love their children and take
their courage in hand as they raise those children the best way they know how.
I believe listeners will also enjoy Dino’s interview with Dr. Tracie Dunek. Dr. Dunek discusses the
inner city Milwaukee area she serves and the teen pregnancy issues she encounters among her
patients.
